FRESH FITTED FRIDAY
NBP x NEW ERA Saitama Seibu Lions
I’m not as familiar with the NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) as I should be, but this cap is a homerun (you see what I did there?). The (very Japanese) Lions Logo is embroidered in green and white on a very sky-like “Air Force” Blue crown and bill. The under-bill is the standard field green.

Forget about grown and sexy, these are for the smart and sassy. Tsubouchi (not to be confused with Tsubo) drops the shark sole. It’s the combination of the white laces and black leather that give it that dope dichotomy of sport and seriousness.

Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl
Only in Japan can they get really hot girls to be in the most ridiculously gory, retarded, budget movie filled with horrible acting and the worst special effects ever…
… And make it effing BRILLIANT!

Affair mix by DJ TOH
This is my boy DJ TOH:

He made the mix above. He is an amazing DJ from Japan. Ever since the earthquakes and tsunamis have impacted Japan, he’s been depressed. The only thing that keeps him going is making mixes for people to jam to. Please give this a listen and give it a like if you do. That would brighten his day.

Alien vs Ninja Trailer - English Subs (by JapanSocietyNYC)
If you have never had the courage to dab wasabi in your eye then yer better off not watching this movie. If you have, then you are in for a treat. Alien vs Ninja packs a low budget punch that would make super Russian Drago lean back a little. It’s straight camp at it’s finest, mixing Power Rangers with Predator. How can you lose with an unstoppable dolphin-faced alien going claw to hand (and tentacle to genital) with a small crew of bad-ass leather clad Iga ninja.
You just don’t.
GOD IS SO GOOD!!! (via samus18365)
Fuck this chick. She’s overjoyed that a bunch of people died because of a natural act? Does she think her god would really appreciate praying for the ravaging of a country and the deaths of untold numbers?
Get this chick a chin check and a dose of reality.
UPDATE: turns out she was just a troll. A level 30 mega-troll. Well done.

Laurie Simmons - “The Love Doll: Days 1-30”
Saw this tonight at Salon 94 in Downtown Manhattan, NYC. The gallery is brand new and sits one building over from The Poo New Museum. It’s a beautiful space and the exhibit was awesome. I recommend checking it out.
In the fall of 2009, Simmons ordered a customized, high end Love Doll from Japan. The doll, designed as a surrogate sex partner, arrived in a crate, clothed in a transparent slip and accompanied by a separate box containing an engagement ring and female genitalia. Simmons began to document her photographic relationship with this human scale ‘girl’. The resulting photographs depict the lifelike, latex doll in an ongoing series of ‘actions’, shown and titled chronologically from the day Simmons received the doll, through to the present.

Miss Eleanor of bentwave (Taken with Instagram at WNYU)
Miss Eleanor is a good friend and amazing DJ. We met in Japan a while back. She plays ill techno type music (and I don’t even really like techno) thats both hard as it is funky. Check her out on Mondays, 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on 89.1 FM in NYC or at WNYU Radio interwebs.
Here’s your daily dose of straight dumb cuteness: a rat snake, known specifically for eating, well… rats has gone on a non-rodent diet and has actually befriended a puffy hamster in Japan. Now if a snake and a hamster can get along, I feel really sorry for humanity.
Big Tits Zombie (Kyonyu Dragon)
Really, that’s all I have to say. That and “Thank you, Japan, for birthing Takao Nakano.”

Recently my boy rebela and I took a trip to Japan, land of the rising sun and schoolgirl skirts, for a 10 day getaway. We saw and did some amazing stuff (hiked 2 mountains, saw two big Buddha, spent to much money, ate fish flavored ice cream!) and met up with some amazing people along the way (shouts go out to DJ TOH, Chie, Dorak, Spit, Man In Tokyo, Ubiquity Life, Rei, Aya and the rest). The experience was awesome and awe-inspiring. I’ve got love for Kyoto, but Tokyo is where my heart is.
Instead of going on a long descriptive diatribe about the trip, I’ll just show pics of it from both my and rebela’s perspectives. The link will take you to rebela’s photoset on flickr and the link on the top right of the page called “Sh!t I Did in Japan” will take you to my photoset.
I hope you enjoy our (mis)adventures and if you don’t, well うせろ.
