A rant by one of my favorite designers that voices the thoughts of designers around the world. Pay heed, clients.
This is the freshest thing for film nerds (like myself) since The 400 Blows.
Self Examination (2011) by Ray Caesar
Ray Caesar is the shit.
I just had a geeksplosion. With the augmented reality and ease of subscription, what will happen to the comic book store? Granted there are plenty of books and companies not going digital (yet) but let’s be honest, a bulk of sales come from DC and Marvel. DC hasn’t really capitalized off of the digital sales model but it seems like Marvel is going to crush the market with X-men vs Avengers.
BTW: X-men all the way.
Nike has done well by me. Now they have done even more… weller with these . The color-way and choice of materials is magnificent. White or yellow laces: icing on the proverbial cake.

Is this blasphemy or BLASTphemy?
Dope illustrations from Bomboland. It takes real brains to get the freshness.
This weekend was the DUMBO Arts Festival 2010 where all the studios and galleries open their doors in the most expensive neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. For the most part, the art was “Meh…” There were some cool works. I really liked Yuli Geszti’s “Form, Color and Beyond” at the Almacēn Galeria (sample below). The highlight of the day was the visit to Zakka and checking out all the design books. All in all, despite the mediocre art in the festival, today was a good day to see art in Brooklyn.
This is your new favorite band, Adam’s Castle.
